Graduate Integrity Engineer
 

Role:
To provide the technical input to compile, review and develop work packs and work instructions for ongoing inspection, repair and maintenance projects. The role will also involve writing, formatting and editing manuals and operational / maintenance procedures to comply with the Operations and Asset Integrity Management System (O-AIMS). To assist with the development of integrity / inspection management documentation, and interface with operational, production and maintenance systems.

Academic Competencies:
BSc or BA in engineering related discipline.
Competency in standard Microsoft applications (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio).
CAD drawing skills preferable.

• Knowledge of NDT / Inspection methods and techniques
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, documents and reports
• Ability to identify, develop and implement process improvements
• Ability to communicate effectively at most levels within EM&I, Client and Vendor organisations on a number of technically related issues
• Ability to work as an effective team member or individually with key focus on achieving deadlines for deliverables
• A high level of organisational and planning skills supported by accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise and be responsible for own time management

Responsibilities:
Technical
• Compile, review and develop work packs and instructions for ongoing inspection, repair and maintenance activities
• Using the following documents to deliver work packs and instructions; engineering drawings (P&IDs, PFDs and Isometrics), technical and engineering specifications, engineering requests and instructions and material specifications
• Updating and amending O-AIMS documentation in compliance with agreed targets for delivery as per the EM&I Management System
• Supporting compliance with external audits
• Formatting, editing and compiling Maintenance and Operational Procedures to O-AIMS standards within identified timescales
• Liaising with Project Engineers, Integrity Engineers and Projects Managers as per operational requirements
• Peer reviewing technical documentation including work packs prior to client review and formal issue
• Ensuring the document transmittal process and other communication processes are observed as per the Communications Plan
• Ensuring the accuracy and content of work packs meets the scope requirements
• Actively participate in Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives within the project and across the organisation

Planning
• Assisting with preparation of Annual Inspection Plans (AIPs) using outputs from Corrosion and Structural Risk Assessments including those embedded within integrity databases
• Using the following tools to assist with delivery of AIPs; baseline data, Gantt Charts, Cost, Time & Resource (CTR) based Budgets, Audit Plan and System and Data Review Plan and KPIs relevant to the inspection function (i.e. report quality, report delivery times, etc.)
• Assisting with the liaison with Clients to optimise short term planning with 90, 60, 30 day client plans

Operational
• Assisting with pre and post mobilisation briefings of Site Based Personnel including details such as; work scopes, reporting, integrity issues, communications, etc
• Assisting with reviewing, reporting and actioning any issues arising out of DPRs
• Assisting with the review of inspection reports
• Assisting with the review of anomaly reports (both fast and regular track)
• Assisting with preparing recommendations to Client
• Assisting with preparation of progress reports including Monthly, Quarterly, Annual Reviews
• Assisting with preparation of trend reports
• Assisting with the review of information from process fluids, corrosion monitoring, chemical injection and structural loadings in relation to inspection activity
• Assisting with the feedback to Integrity and Inspection Strategies and Plans
• Liaising and sharing technical information with the project team and Client as appropriate

Any other ad-hoc or project related activities as requested by Line Manager
