Role:
To provide control of significant capital projects, ensuring customer requirements are correctly specified and delivered by the project teams, whilst remaining commercially viable. To increase efficiency of operations and project management through support functions to drive key operations project targets and process improvements to completion.

Academic Competencies:
BSc or BA in engineering, financial or business related discipline.
Competency in standard Microsoft applications (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio).
Experience Competencies:
• Previous experience in the oil and gas industry with a proven track record in leading and managing engineering projects
• Strong management background with first class analytical and numeracy ability
• Experience of financial control of projects and strong commercial awareness
• Previous experience in resolving technical issues and risks inline with a project risk register
• Knowledge of critical path programme analysis and sound problem solving aptitude
• Ability to identify, develop and implement work process improvements
• Results driven and used to working to strict timescales
• Flexible approach with ability to respond successfully to changing demands and conditions
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within EM&I, Client and Vendor organisations on a wide variety of project related issues
• Management of human and equipment resources ensuring deliverables are completed within committed deadlines
• Manage the effective communication and sharing of best practice across project teams

Responsibilities:
Technical
• Manage the development and preparation of work packs and supporting documentation
• Manage the review of DPRs and addressing any issues arising
• Manage the review of inspection reports based on recommendations received by Project Coordinator
• Manage pre and post mobilisation briefings of Site Based Personnel
• Manage the preparation of O-AIMS type deliverables as required
Project Management
• Ensuring compliance with company and client Health, Safety and Environment Policies
• Planning, control and implementation of projects in accordance with EM&I Project Management Systems and checklists
• Ensuring projects meet commercial requirements
• Prioritising work load using effective management skills
• Managing, producing and updating all project plans
• Coordinating and chairing internal and Client progress meetings to monitor and review project deliverables
• Reviewing and approving Weekly Progress Action Plans and preparing Monthly Progress Reports
• Analysing and resolving technical issues and risks in line with Project Risk Registers
• Overseeing the relevant project database within the EM&I Project Control System
• Managing the continuous improvement and application of the Project Management System
• Managing project branding in line with corporate standards and operating centre budget
• Conducting site audits inline with corporate objectives
Business Development Support and Client Interaction
• Assisting with the preparation of bids, tender, proposals, CTRs and supporting documents
• Maintaining regular and effective communications with Clients to develop Client / Contractor relationships in order to optimise business opportunities
• Conducting regular Client satisfaction surveys using feedback systems such as F-PAL
Commercial, Finance and Administration
• Understanding contractual terms and conditions
• Following invoicing process and supporting the Project Coordinator and Administrator in collation of invoice back-up and generation of invoices
• Ensuring timely and efficient financial performance of project
Supervision
• Assigning tasks and supervising Site Based Personnel, Project Coordinator and Administrator
• Managing and conducting appraisals and setting KPIs for Site Based Personnel, Project Coordinator and Administrator
